Amelia Island, The Dunes

Please remember that hurricane season along the United States’ Atlantic seaboard, around Caribbean and within the Gulf of Mexico is from June through November, with the peak months being August through October and early to mid-September being the pinnacle. Although more than 100 “disturbances” a year have the potential to turn into hurricanes, on average only 10 of these become tropical storms, with six becoming full-fledged hurricanes.
