The Destination
Miami might be only 45 minutes away but the Bahamas is a world apart. Sheltered by barrier islands with names like Green Turtle Cay, the waters here are perfect for sailing and the reefs below ideal for snorkeling and diving. Try bone-fishing in the shallow waters where you see each fish before casting. Take a swing on the golf course winding through this tropical paradise. Long beaches of pink sand outline the links and hummingbirds flutter around lush hibiscus and bougainvillea. Waves crash beside the 18th hole, sending sparkling plumes of spray into the warm air. Pinch yourself if you like, but the dream persists.
