The Destination
Jackson Hole comprises the heart of a cowboy and the soul of a city. With horseback riding, wilderness hiking and wildlife watching in the summer and snowshoeing, snowmobiling and skiing in the winter, one thing is for sure, you won’t want to leave your new home in Jackson Hole. Jackson Hole is a casual western town, so leave your coat and tie in the closet.
Activities in Jackson Hole
Continental Divide Dog Sled Adventures
Togwotee Mountain Lodge offers exciting trails, thrilling rides, and spectacular Teton views. They travel through Grand Teton National Park on the scenic by-way, observing wildlife and great views to our dogsled tour locations.
Jackson Hole Rodeo
This is rodeo country, yet unlike the larger gatherings in other parts of the state, Jackson Hole maintains it’s local “anyone who has the gumption can do it” attitude that makes it representative of both the community and the original intention of the sport.
Spring Creek Western Riding
Enjoy a guided horseback trail ride atop the East Gros Ventre Butte with Spring Creek Ranch’s W.W. Guides. Unique views of the Teton Range, Sleeping Indian, Gros Ventre Range, Jackson Hole valley and the town of Jackson.
We cooked in four of the seven nights we were at Amangani. It changes the pace of the vacation. With the fully stocked kitchens, the kids can snack or eat whenever they want, which makes it feel more like home. We slow down and appreciate things. We planned a day at Yellowstone and saw a grizzly bear with her cubs and about 300 bison walking next to the road.
