The Destination
Lake Garda is Italy’s largest, nestled into the foothills of the splendid scenery of the Alps. Surrounded by the Dolomites of Brenta in the north and the gentle slopes of the morainic hills in the south, Lake Garda is a panoramic paradise. The Mediterranean climate creates a landscape prime for lemon trees, oleanders, magnolias and bougainvillea, as well as the quintessential vineyards and olive groves. Located only 30 minutes from Verona (with Milan and Venice less than two hours away), Palazzo Arzaga is surrounded by a wealth of art, as well as cultural and gastronomic regions such as Franciacorta (famous for their interpretation of sparkling wine) and Mantova. A leisurely stroll around the small village centers places passers-by within picturesque street markets scenes; the lively atmosphere of the lake lends itself to going on boating excursions; and the infamous dolce vita is acted out in the restaurants, cafes and trendiest discos.
